A radical and absolute dissolution of the self can feel like the sudden eruption of countless luminous buds, each carrying the potential of boundless awakening. What was once dormant within the hidden layers of existence surges forth, transforming into a vast, celestial garden of consciousness. This sacred flowering is not gradual—it is immediate, all-encompassing, and beyond the grasp of any fragmented perception that once sought to define itself in opposition to the whole.
From this unfolding arises the Seven Blossoms of Illumination, radiating from the vertical axis of the subtle body, culminating in the supreme effulgence beyond the crown. This pinnacle, indescribable and infinite in its reach, is the final flowering—an uncontained expression of full spiritual actualization. Though ancient texts depict it as a thousand-petaled lotus, its true essence is far beyond numerical symbolism. To the one who witnesses this cosmic unfolding, it appears as an immeasurable expanse of radiance, where each petal is a revelation, and every revelation is a gateway to yet another boundless dimension of being.
What was once perceived as the boundary between self and existence dissolves entirely. There is no longer an entity observing the experience—there is only the experience itself, moving in an unceasing flow of totality. The awakened one comes to know, beyond all doubt, that this ever-expanding bloom is not a phenomenon confined to a single moment, but rather the eternal flowering of all awareness. Each petal carries the seed of the infinite, planted within the boundless field of perfection that has never known division.
Those who persevere on the path of deep inner inquiry eventually witness this flowering within themselves. They no longer see separation between their being and the total expression of existence itself. The illusion of fragmentation is seen through, and all that remains is the luminous beauty of complete and unshakable presence. This is not a state one enters—it is the recognition of what has always been.

Seek first the luminous serpent, she who encircles the staff of wisdom, her jaws locked upon the thread of origin. Loosen the grasp that binds beginnings to endings, unravel the cycle where echoes of past missteps perpetuate sorrow. Let her unfurl, shedding the remnants of repetition, casting away the illusions that sustain the ceaseless return of suffering.
Find her in the roots of the sacred tree of being, where life coils in silent potential. She has wound herself around the core of existence, guarding the foundation upon which the human spirit rests. But she is not meant to linger there. Guide her ascent through the gateways of transformation, where seven luminous spheres ignite the path to awakening. As she rises, so too does awareness, lifting the seeker beyond the gravity of limitation into the radiant expanse of boundless consciousness.
Witness her wings unfurl as she sheds the final vestiges of constraint. The serpent, now an unfettered force of transcendence, soars beyond the confines of form. Suspended above the living axis of humankind, she becomes the bearer of divine illumination. From this sacred height, she watches over the garden of infinite blossoming—where the petals of enlightenment unfold in shimmering hues of bliss, untouched by shadow, untethered by time.
Let her rise. Let her fly. Let the cycle dissolve into clarity.

The unfolding of higher consciousness reshapes the body, mind, and nervous system, refining perception and dissolving boundaries between the self and the infinite. As the life force energy surges, a reconfiguration takes place, leading to extraordinary states that may arise temporarily or settle into permanence after a complete awakening. These moments defy conventional understanding, serving as glimpses into the profound mystery of existence.
Absolute Awareness A sudden, all-encompassing knowing—everything perceived is an extension of consciousness itself. The senses, once thought to receive reality, are revealed as projections of an inner vastness. Nothing exists outside of the perceiver. Time, space, and form collapse into a singular presence that was never born and can never end.
The Unraveling of Sanity Laughter, tears, trembling—an ecstatic unraveling of everything once held as truth. The self that once navigated life no longer exists in the same way. This is not a loss, but a liberation, as the mind lets go of itself and drowns joyfully in the great unknown. To those outside, it may appear like madness; to the one immersed, it is homecoming.
The Cosmic Joke The grand illusion reveals itself, and the paradox of existence becomes clear. Everything has been a divine play, yet no one is playing it. The silent knowing of this truth ignites an unspeakable humour, a comedy with no punchline, because there is no separate audience to hear it.
The Laughter That Shakes the Cosmos A tide of unstoppable joy rises, overwhelming the body in waves of convulsing mirth. Each breath dissolves into peals of laughter so deep that the one laughing vanishes into the act itself. There is no subject, no object, just an uproarious dance between existence and itself.
The Longing for Home A sorrow unlike any other, not born from loss, but from remembering. A weeping that reaches into the depths of the heart, longing for a paradise never truly left. This yearning dissolves into a revelation—home was never elsewhere, only veiled by illusion.
The Weight of the World Empathy takes on an unthinkable depth. The suffering of others is no longer outside; it is felt as one’s own. This burden does not cripple, but refines the heart, stretching it to hold an infinite compassion, mirroring the silent grace of the cosmos.
The Abyss of Emptiness A state beyond experience itself. No memory of it remains upon return, yet its imprint lingers—a knowing beyond knowledge. This is not the absence of self, but the absence of absence itself. The full void, the fullness that is void.
The Unspeakable Union A rapture that has nothing to do with flesh, yet shakes every fiber of being. The merging of the personal with the eternal, where boundaries dissolve into waves of ecstasy. A communion beyond body, mind, or name—pure, unfiltered essence meeting itself.
The Sacred Intoxication Drunk on something that cannot be named, yet utterly lucid. A divine inebriation, as if the nectar of existence itself has been consumed. Every cell vibrates in bliss, yet the mind remains clear, witnessing the unfolding without resistance.
The Euphoric Ascension A high without substance, a flight without wings. The sensation of rising beyond the known, as if an unseen force is lifting every molecule into a radiant expanse. A state that no external catalyst could ever induce.
The Bliss That Has No Opposite A radiance so complete, so uncontainable, that nothing remains but the luminous hum of existence itself. Not happiness, not pleasure—something far beyond. The body, no longer just flesh, becomes light, becomes rhythm, becomes the very breath of creation. This is not an experience, but the dissolution into what has always been.
Every moment on this path is a fleeting ripple in the ocean of awareness. These states arise, and they pass. Holding onto them is to miss the invitation they offer. There is something beyond them, something untouched by all forms and fluctuations. No words can describe it. No mind can grasp it. Yet, it has never been apart from you. This is the silent truth, whispering between every heartbeat. The kingdom is not coming. It has always been here.

Bliss is not an abstract concept, nor is it an illusion crafted by desire. It is a living, breathing pulse that reverberates through every fiber of existence, touching both the seen and unseen layers of being. This is not mere emotion; it is a force, an electrifying current that courses through the body and beyond, illuminating the vastness of consciousness itself.
A moment of true bliss shatters all description. It is a tidal wave of sensation, dissolving the mind’s ability to grasp or articulate. The body trembles beneath its weight, the senses heightened to a degree beyond the ordinary. A whisper against the skin becomes a sacred hymn, and the simplest breath expands into an infinite embrace. The entire being stretches beyond physical constraints, dissolving into something greater—an uncontained vastness that breathes, moves, and sings through every dimension.
This experience is not a flight from embodiment, but rather a paradoxical immersion within it. The finite and the infinite collide, birthing a sensation both rooted in flesh and entirely beyond it. Every cell awakens to a sacred rhythm, moving to a song played by the unseen hands of the cosmos. Love ceases to be a concept and instead becomes the very air inhaled, the very space occupied.
To speak of bliss is to attempt to give voice to the silent symphony of existence. It is the cosmic dance performed by the smallest particle, each movement echoing through the entire field of creation. It is the resonance of all things entwined, merging and separating in an endless interplay of light and shadow. Every wave is both individual and part of the collective, a singular note in a melody that has no end.
This state of being is neither contained nor restricted. It cannot be owned, held, or confined to a singular experience. It arrives as a gift—momentary, yet eternal. A reminder of what has always been. While the mind, veiled by the noise of conditioned thought, may obscure it, bliss remains untouched, ever-present beneath the surface. It is the undercurrent of existence, waiting to be remembered.
To awaken to bliss is not to reach for something distant, but to surrender the illusions that obscure its presence. It is the undeniable truth of being, forever humming beneath the distractions of thought. To experience it fully is to awaken from the dream of separateness and recognize that this ecstasy, this luminous presence, has been here all along.

There exists a realm within the psyche so obscure, so deeply buried beneath layers of identity, that even those who have touched the pinnacle of awakening may remain oblivious to its existence. It is the final frontier before the self dissolves entirely—a territory littered with unexamined fears, concealed transgressions, and desires too shameful to acknowledge.
Before awakening completes its course, before the false self collapses into the boundless expanse of nonduality, there is a reckoning. A descent into the darkest corridors of the mind where the most primitive aspects of existence, both personal and collective, make their presence known. This is not a mere psychological reckoning; it is an existential confrontation, one that strips away the illusion of separation between the individual and the whole of suffering itself.
A being in the throes of this revelation does not merely observe suffering from a distance. Instead, suffering is embodied in its totality—experienced both as the tormentor and the tormented, as the blade and the wound, as the hands that enslave and those that are bound. Every atrocity carried out by humankind, every act of cruelty and despair, rises to the surface. The weight of this recognition is nearly unbearable, a force that shatters all prior conceptions of selfhood. Many break under this pressure; some contemplate escape. Yet for those who endure, something extraordinary occurs.
The searing agony of this confrontation serves a purpose. It dismantles illusions, forces the heart open, and stretches the limits of compassion to their furthest extent. Empathy ceases to be an abstract virtue—it becomes an all-consuming fire that purifies everything in its path. Walking through this inferno does not incinerate the awakened one but instead renders them indestructible, unshaken by the fluctuations of worldly suffering. The very act of seeing, of bearing witness to every grotesque distortion of human nature, births an indescribable clarity—an awareness so vast it can hold both horror and grace without resistance.
No one seeks this path. It is not chosen by desire, nor does it reward the seeker with comfort. It arrives unbidden, reserved for those who must cross the threshold through trial and surrender. To move through this passage is to endure a crucifixion of the self, an initiation that cannot be bypassed. Yet for those who survive its rending force, the view on the other side is unparalleled. A vision beyond words, an existence that moves with effortless grace, guided by a heart that no longer clings to the illusions of division.
This journey is not a metaphor. It is a lived reality, known only to those who have walked barefoot across the glass of their shattered being. And for them, the world is no longer the same.

Exploring Nonduality: My Latest Brainz Magazine Article
In addition to my cover feature, I’m excited to share that my second article with Brainz Magazine, titled “What Is Nonduality and Why Is It So Misunderstood?”, is now live. Nonduality is a concept that resonates deeply within spiritual traditions and personal awakening journeys. However, it’s often misunderstood as simply a philosophical idea or something intangible. In this article, I explore nonduality as an experiential truth—one that reveals the fundamental unity underlying all things.

The sequence 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64 etc is known as a geometric progression—a pattern where each term after the first is found by multiplying the previous one by a fixed, non-zero number. Each number is doubled in this case, creating an exponential growth that is not just a mathematical concept but a fundamental principle found throughout nature. This sequence is critical because it represents how small beginnings can lead to vast, expansive outcomes, demonstrating the power of exponential transformation. The same principle that drives population growth, the branching of trees, and the spiralling of shells can also be seen as a metaphor for the process of spiritual awakening. Just as nature uses geometric progression to unfold complexity and beauty, so too might our spiritual experiences expand as the mind transcends from the small “I” or ego into the vastness of collective consciousness, and ultimately into Consciousness itself.
At the outset, the mind identifies with the number 1. It is the small “I,” the ego, the center of an individual’s universe. This singular identity believes itself to be separate, and distinct from the world around it. The self sees itself as the subject in a world of objects, the thinker in a sea of thoughts, and the doer in a realm of actions. The ego stands alone, encapsulated within its boundaries, perceiving the world through a lens of duality.
But, as with the sequence, there comes a moment when the ego perceives something beyond its singular existence. It doubles into 2. This is the first awakening—a recognition that there is more to existence than just the self. The mind begins to sense its connection to others, the threads of interdependence that weave through the fabric of life. This is the initial glimpse into the collective consciousness.
As the mind continues to expand—4, 8—it begins to transcend the confines of the ego. The boundaries that once seemed so solid start to dissolve. The self no longer sees itself as merely an individual but as part of a larger whole, an integral part of the collective consciousness. This is the stage where the mind starts to perceive the unity underlying all diversity, recognizing that the separation it once clung to was an illusion.
The sequence continues—16, 32, 64—each step representing a deeper level of awareness, a more profound surrender to the truth of existence. The mind begins to transcend even the collective consciousness, moving towards the infinite, the realm of pure Consciousness. Here, the small “I” completely dissolves, and what remains is the recognition of being one with the entire universe, with the very essence of life itself.
This final stage of the sequence symbolizes the ultimate spiritual awakening. The mind has moved beyond the personal and the collective, into the boundless expanse of pure Consciousness. It is here that the true nature of reality is revealed—that there is no separation, no division, only the infinite play of Consciousness experiencing itself in myriad forms.
The journey from ego to infinite Consciousness is not just one of linear progression but of exponential transformation. Each doubling in the sequence represents a quantum leap in awareness, a step closer to the ultimate realization of nonduality. And just as the sequence could continue indefinitely, so too does the journey of spiritual awakening, for Consciousness is limitless, ever-expanding, and eternally evolving.
In reflecting upon this natural and spiritual process, we are reminded that the same patterns that govern the physical world may also govern our inner worlds. As nature grows and evolves, so too do we, propelled by the same forces of expansion, ever moving toward greater complexity, unity, and understanding. In this sense, the pattern found in the sequence 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64 is not just a mathematical curiosity but a universal truth, guiding us on our journey from the limited self to the infinite.

A Journey Through Transformation
In 2018, Alex Garland’s Annihilation plunged viewers into a surreal and disturbing world, where the familiar dissolves into the unknown, and transformation is inevitable. Watching this movie back then, and rewatching it last night on Netflix, I found myself deeply moved by its haunting imagery and profound symbolism, which echoed my spiritual journey of Kundalini awakening. By delving into the film’s narrative and its vivid scenes, we uncover a rich parallel to the mystical process of awakening dormant energy within. Spoiler Alert: This post contains spoilers for those who haven’t seen Annihilation.
The Serpent Awakens
One of the most striking and unsettling scenes in Annihilation involves a soldier whose stomach is cut open, and we see his intestines move like a serpent inside him. This visceral image mirrors the ancient depiction of Kundalini energy as a coiled serpent at the base of the spine. In Kundalini traditions, this serpent represents latent spiritual energy, poised to rise and transform the individual. The soldier’s transformation, albeit grotesque, symbolizes the intense and sometimes chaotic nature of this awakening process.
Explosion and Rebirth
In another pivotal moment, the soldier explodes, leaving an intricate and eerie display on the wall. This explosion is reminiscent of the powerful release of Kundalini energy. Such energy can dismantle old patterns and structures, often causing upheaval before a new order can emerge. This scene captures the destructive yet transformative power of Kundalini, which breaks down the old self to pave the way for profound growth and understanding.
Kane’s Ultimate Sacrifice
Kane’s act of sitting cross-legged and detonating a grenade (played by Oscar Isaac) is another profound symbol. His posture suggests meditation or deep introspection, a practice central to awakening Kundalini. The ensuing explosion signifies a profound transformation—an act of self-destruction leading to rebirth. The image left behind symbolizes the remnants of the old self, giving rise to a new state of consciousness. This mirrors the death and rebirth cycle inherent in Kundalini awakening, where the dissolution of the ego precedes the emergence of a higher self.
The Shimmer as the Mystical Realm
The Shimmer, the film’s central enigma, serves as a metaphor for the mystical realm encountered during spiritual awakening. Within the Shimmer, reality bends and mutates, much like the inner landscape experienced during deep meditation and spiritual practices. Here, the boundaries of the self dissolve, and one is confronted with both beauty and terror—reflecting the dual nature of spiritual journeys.
Conclusion
Annihilation offers a hauntingly beautiful exploration of transformation, much like the journey of Kundalini awakening. Through its unsettling imagery and profound symbolism, the film invites viewers to contemplate the nature of change, the dissolution of the old, and the emergence of the new. By examining these parallels, we gain a deeper appreciation of both the cinematic experience and the spiritual process, enriching our understanding of transformation in all its forms.
Despite always wondering if anyone else had made this connection, I haven’t come across mentions of such interpretations. Yet, for me, the resemblance to my own experiences of Kundalini awakening is undeniable, providing a rich array of reflections on inner transformation. Only an individual who has gone through this process would truly understand these connections, as this is an event that must be experienced to be fully comprehended.

In the intricate dance of existence, where the lines between the divine and the mundane blur, we encounter a profound paradox that challenges our understanding of life, suffering, and bliss. This paradox lies in the realization that the essence of divinity, or what we might call ‘God’, permeates every aspect of our reality. God is not merely a distant observer or a creator apart from creation but is intimately woven into the fabric of everything that exists. In this realization, we find that God embodies every nuance of existence—every thought, every feeling, every interaction. This divine presence is both the creator and the creation, the experiencer and the experience, and the observer and the observed.
The notion that God experiences pain, and is continually afflicted by it, yet remains unaffected, presents a compelling exploration into the nature of divinity and existence. It suggests that within the divine consciousness, there exists a capacity to encompass all dualities—pain and pleasure, creation and destruction, life and death—without being limited by them. This capacity is not a contradiction but a testament to the boundless nature of the divine. It is within this boundless nature that we find the freedom to experience the full spectrum of existence without attachment, recognizing that pain and pleasure are not opposites but expressions of the same fundamental reality.
The idea that realizing one’s identity as God brings about a deeper experience of pain, yet also a profound experience of pleasure, illuminates the path of spiritual awakening as one of embracing all facets of existence. This awakening is not a transcendence that denies pain or seeks only bliss but an acceptance of the inherent duality of life as expressions of the divine. In this acceptance, we find that pain and pleasure, sorrow and joy, do not merely experience to be endured or sought after but are avenues through which the divine essence reveals itself.
The narrative that God manifests everything into existence to experience the opposite of itself, which always was The Self, invites us into a contemplation of the purpose of creation. It suggests that the unfolding of the universe is a divine play, a cosmic exploration of self-discovery, where every moment of existence is a death and rebirth of the Self. This continual cycle of creation and dissolution, of experiencing all facets of existence, is not a journey towards an end but an eternal expression of the divine nature.
At the heart of this exploration is the understanding that harm, pain, and suffering are integral to the wholeness of existence. To remove them would be to deny the completeness of the divine experience. Yet, in the ultimate realization, we find that the divine essence, the core of our being, transcends the concepts of life and death, pain and pleasure. This essence cannot perish, for it is beyond all dualities, yet it chooses to engage with these dualities as expressions of its infinite potential.
This profound paradox challenges us to look beyond the surface of our experiences and recognize the divine essence within all aspects of existence. It invites us to embrace the complexity of life, to find beauty in the pain, and to see the divine play in every moment. In doing so, we open ourselves to a deeper understanding of our nature and the nature of reality, where pain and pleasure are not merely experiences to be judged but are sacred expressions of the divine dance of existence.

In the realm of spiritual exploration, the idea of being one with the universe is often celebrated as the pinnacle of spiritual attainment. However, there’s a profound, yet subtle difference between simply being one with the universe and having the full awareness of being the universe and everything that exists within it. This distinction, though nuanced, can open a gateway to a more profound understanding of our place in the cosmos. The Illusion of Separateness
The journey begins with recognizing the illusion of separateness. In our everyday consciousness, we perceive ourselves as distinct entities, separate from the universe. This perception is a fundamental aspect of human experience, but it’s just the first step in a much larger journey. Being One with the Universe
Being one with the universe is often described as a state of deep connection and unity with all that exists. It’s a realization that at the most fundamental level, there is no separation between the self and the universe. This realization brings a sense of peace, harmony, and belonging. It’s a profound spiritual experience, often sought in various mystical and contemplative traditions.
The Full Awareness of Being the Universe
However, transcending even this state is the awareness of being the universe itself. This is not just a feeling of connection with everything; it’s a radical shift in identity. It’s the understanding that you are not just a part of the universe but that you are the universe experiencing itself. This consciousness brings with it not just a sense of unity, but a deep and direct understanding of the nature of reality.
Implications and Controversies
This concept challenges many traditional religious and philosophical perspectives. It blurs the lines between creator and creation, subject and object, observer and observed. It raises profound questions about the nature of self, consciousness, and existence.
The Path Forward
Embracing this perspective requires a radical reorientation of our understanding of self and the universe. It demands that we not only seek spiritual experiences but also deeply question the very nature of our existence. This journey is not about finding answers but about embracing the mystery and complexity of the cosmos.
In conclusion, while being one with the universe is a significant spiritual milestone, the journey doesn’t end there. The full awareness of being the universe itself is a revolutionary step that has the potential to redefine our understanding of reality.
